New Zealand has now deposited the Instrument of Accession to the Madrid Protocol, which means that as of 10 December 2012 applicants can file trade marks into New Zealand via the Madrid process.
This is a positive step forward for clients as New Zealand is often as a choice destination. Now its easier than ever.
We remind clients that it will be possible to file New Zealand as a “subsequent designation” based on their already existing Madrid Protocol mark should they be interested in doing so.
